Baby Racer
Hi all… Just took by son (Big D) up to Buckland Park kart track for the first time… (yes I know he is only 18 months… but you have to get them started early, don’t you…
He loved it… watched 3 whole races… uttered brum brroooom every time a kart passed (so about 2000+ times) and wouldn’t be satisfied until he had sat in every one of the karts (non competition) in the paddock.
I guess that We Love should start saving for sponsorship and outright driver rights for the future… We Love… racing… has a nice feel
INplace Chooses We Love Creative Agency
Yes another week, another new win!!
Well we must be doing something right. Be it our experience, knowledge, skills or just damn good looks (OK, that’s enough now, we all know you look like a camels arse. Editor)…
We Love is proud to announce that we will be working on strategic and brand development, web design and build (online / offline / ambient), media buying, and generally helping INplace be much, much better in their communications on all levels.
I can’t go into all the details now… But I will keep you updated as and when. It’s going to be sweet
One Love – Dan’s Column
Hello to my first We Love blog. This will be a regular thing, where I express my love of things and so that you know it’s me… I have aptly named it so.
Now obviously I will have to limit myself ONE main love per blurt, else I could bang on forever about tomato ketchup and baby rusk biscuits! So, having been working on a flash site this past week, my love will have to be the power of flash (not flashing… Cos that is just for the weekend).
Over the past few years it’s been amazing watching the level of interaction and detail grow within flash sites. As technology and programs have advanced, so has the creativity and thought behind many sites, all aiming to capture the viewer in the most appropriate way and take them to that new level! It can be the extra level of detail, the movement, the transitions or many other elements that flash allows you to bring to life.
Now obviously most websites are designed for a purpose… Some sell products, others give us information and some are purely creative. But what is great, is the fact that the BIG players are using flash as a creative tool to help capture and engage the viewer, guiding them through their site and often playing on a narrative. Some of the microsite’s for Audi and BMW for example, give you a completely new level of interaction. You almost get sucked into the screen and you can sit back and enjoy as the show unveils itself right in front of you… IT’S GREAT!!!
Quite often this ‘process’ can be rather subliminal too and you may not even notice it’s happening… But if the site is designed well you’ll be clicking where you’re supposed to click and you’ll be deeply engrossed loving every minute of it! Personally I think there’s nothing better than getting you’re teeth into a decent flash site that takes you to another world… But somehow still manages to remain completely relevant to it’s core purpose!
Cheers for reading… Dan.
Growing Relationships: A2 Dominion
We had a good meeting with A2 Dominion last week regarding their sales plans for the next few months and where to focus our attention and flex our creative muscle. As we always bang on: We Love isn’t media specific. We apply ourselves to solutions that support our client objectives. Be it digital, print, motion, exhibition, etc, (see the website). We are there to ensure consistency of creative, streamlined project planning and management… Basically make sure everything rocks and goes tickity boo, which it always does
So, for A2 Dominion we are starting with an immediate need of some brochure material to support a new development in Oxford followed by:
1. Supporting upcoming A2 Dominion developments in Oxford (online / offline).
2. Creating an online strategy, which will support their overall activities and be cost effective whilst blowing them away with design.
3. Viral / guerrilla ideas to support the marketing communications on a brand and development level.
Exciting. Much looking forward to it. Keep your eyes peeled.
We Love… Fair Play – Unlike Bernie and His Monkies
What what what…
Don’t know if you saw the F1 last week… yes yes I know I am late with a blog… but I have been bloody busy…
But giving a drive through to Lewis for an illegal move after he followed the rules and gave back position to Kimi… 25 mins after the race finished… WTF… Stupid and stupid… and rant rant rant…
WTF are F1 thinking of… perhaps they should think of changing their name to Formula SHITE or does the F in ‘F1′ stand for Ferrari… I mean… I love racing of all types (moto, cars, rolling cheese down a hill…) its all good fun and life on the edge. But what is racing (sorry, the pinnacle of racing) thinking by employing such numpties to judge on such a prize.
Now it’s not cos it’s Lewis… I really I don’t mind who wins… and I would feel the same if the same happened to Kimi if he was better at driving in the wet… But he wasn’t and Lewis had him fair and square… I am not bothered about the points table. I am not bothered about Massa. I care about the values of a good race and fair sportsmanship. When Lewis thought he did something wrong… he was a gentleman about it and gave back the place.
If F1 uphold their decision… we should all boycott the rest of the season in defiance of Bernie and his biased organisation.
I will go to the local hill and partake in a little cheese rolling…
Thanks for listening.
Mark
The Right People
Well, it’s that time again… A Monday… Not normally the best day of the week, the first day back after catching up on sleep, partying or completing the previous weeks documentation that you never quite got the time to finish…
BUT TODAY IS DIFFERENT!!! YES, TODAY WE WELCOME THE NEWEST SIBLING OF WE LOVE… HELLO TO DAN THE DESIGNER
Yep, we are getting that busy we are needing a fresh talent to join the continuously growing family here at We Love. Dan is a talented little bugger. So, big hand to Dan. Welcome.
