An update to the Rubik’s cube, Naef’s Cubicus wooden puzzle encourages that same creative and progressive learning as the iconic original we were all raised with, but the Swiss toymaker takes it a step further by allowing expansion and stacking
The flexible cube, designed by Peer Clahsen in 1968, is both a toy and example of fine design. Easy to play with and challenging to master, kids and adults alike will love how 10-piece puzzle can be configured as an architecture masterpiece or just moved around for fun effects
We Love are proud to announce our first project in partnership with HN Marketing. Working together to produce a powerful sales tool. Deployed from USB stick its portable, fast and completely customisable to satisfy individual presentation needs through its XML feed and Flash user interface. Will keep you posted…
How long until a creative agency robs it and we see it with a big Brand associated with it… I give it 6 months… (BTW… Palindromic means that it is the same backwards as it is forwards… brilliant).
You are:
A ridiculously talented designer, a pixel perfect master who just loves the digital domain. You have amazing design sensitivities and can put them into practice through extensive software knowledge. Working from a white page is encouraged here so concepting must be a strong point.
Someone who is mature enough to understand a brief, can take direction as well as contribute and show initiative. Who can take a project from start to finish, work with pride and create award winning masterpieces.
Open to learn and grow. The drive to be someone within this industry of ours. Big personality without an ego… but with an all in attitude.
We are:
A blend of strategic, creative and technological innovation, creating mesmerising sites, campaigns. Working in an off and online environment.
A company run by two extremely experienced and award winning Creative Directors. A company that breathes talent… and I mean talent. Tyre kickers need not apply. No recruitment agencies please.
Apple has rejected the Eucalyptus e-book reader application, which allows users to download novels from the library of Project Gutenberg, which holds copyrights to thousands of classic titles, the Kama Sutra among them.
Apple told Eucalyptus developer James Montgomerie that allowing access to the Kama Sutra violated its software terms and conditions.
Montgomerie has argued that users must search through Eucalyptus, find the Kama Sutra and then download the book to their phones, a process that is currently allowed under other iPhone applications, including Amazon’s Kindle app.
This is just very very sad… a book that has been in existence for Millenia… whats the harm when you can by top shelf pornography from any local newsagent…
and talk about screwed up process… apple approved an app which it had to later withdraw after complaints from parents… the app in question… it allowed you to shake a virtual baby to death. Come on Apple… WTF?
If your anything like me and save everything to your desktop when your busy, then read on..
It’s not the prettiest of screen savers – but has helped me organise my files and folders. Designed by gringo this wallpaper can be found on thefwa.com
The BBC has launched a simultaneously digital and experiential event called Blast Studio It was conceived and produced by Fallon London. Nice… go and play…
you are a Flash and Actionscript 3 developer/animator with recent (v2) Papervision 3D experience. Have knowledge of the Gaia flash framework would be favourable (though it’s easy to pick up). Good OO principles, though we won’t tie you down to PureMVC or anything like that – whatever you do, you do it beyond well. You use bzr/svn/git regularly and have the seniority to take the lead if required.
Dates: 10 day booking starting from the 3rd – 4th June 2009
Examples of recent work will be required.
This is a fast moving project in a ‘lively’ environment based in our office in Maidstone, Kent.

Congratulations to English from England and to We Love Creative Agency. The site English from England has launched today.
We Love were originally approached at the 20/20 Vision expo at the beginning of April, and after an initial consultation a few weeks later We Love were tasked with revising their online and offline marketing strategy, with long term growth within Asian market, to rebrand the company and to revise the online user experience when redesigning their web presence.
All of this within a four week period, to meet an important deadline for EfE. So well done Dan, Gav, James and Mel for driving the project with such gusto and achieving such a great result
English from England is an online English learning site for primary aged students which introduces the English language through video and simple games.
The site separates the ‘business’ of attracting and informing the core target (Individuals, Schools, Education Authorities) from the ‘learning experience’ (the product and resources) to allow a distinct tone of voice to the different user types (adults and children), whilst retaining a distinct and universal learning graphic language.
Phase 2 and 3 to be rolled out later in the year will bring added functionality to the site as well as a full revision the learning product.
It’s that time of year again… and it only feels like yesterday that I was preparing last minute coursework ready for the D&AD awards! This year they’re being held at Camden’s legendary Roundhouse in London on 11th June. So be sure to keep an eye on this years winners through the D&AD website and see the creative solutions for yourself. There’s also an abundance of information on the website, particularly for students and people who’ve graduated over the last 3 years… offering a range of different design workshops (which you need to apply for), graduate placement schemes and details on the annual New Blood Exhibition which will run from Monday 29 June to Thursday 2 July at the Olympia National Hall.
Good luck to all those who’ve entered and check out the scale of the judging process for yourself…
