Most Innovative Marketing Award

We’ve just found out we’ve been nominated for the Most Innovative Marketing Award, for our cross-channel strategy and creative for the Grand Ocean development in Brighton. A big thanks to everyone involved, Dan for the design, Gav and Mel for the build and animations, Mark for the colour orange ;) and particularly to Jenny and John from INplace for trusting in our conceptual approach.

Looking forward to the 3rd of September where Channel 4’s Sarah Beeny will hopefully hand us the marketing crown of ultimate victory (or something similar. A small gold coloured cup would probably do) :)

How to generate buzz

The Pier at Ingress Park is an Inplace Housing development (shared with Crest Nicholson) in the beautifully regenerated area around Greenhithe on the south bank of the Thames. Rather than just being another new town, Ingress Park draws upon a landscape steeped in heritage and historical architecture – mixing old and new a thriving community is already starting to develop.

But for some reason these unique properties are struggling to make a real hit on the marketplace. And that’s where we come in. Tasked with increasing visibility, generating footfall and contacts, we’re going to create a tangible buzz around this already exciting development.

With a campaign site launching in a couple of weeks time, a launch party and targeted guerrilla activities all kicking off as well, we’re currently deep, deep in brainstorm territory – just where we like to be. And with the website currently reacting to sound and motion, it’s definitely going to be a campaign with a difference (though for some reason dev keeps swearing at me…)

Here’s to getting the same results for the Pier as we did for Grand Ocean – I’ll keep you posted.

We Love… is accepted onto the BBC roster

Good news this week. We Love has been formally accepted onto the BBC roster of approved agencies. An exciting time for us…

Wanted: Digital Designer to Join The We Love Family

You are:
A ridiculously talented designer, a pixel perfect master who just loves the digital domain. You have amazing design sensitivities and can put them into practice through extensive software knowledge. Working from a white page is encouraged here so concepting must be a strong point.

Someone who is mature enough to understand a brief, can take direction as well as contribute and show initiative. Who can take a project from start to finish, work with pride and create award winning masterpieces.

Open to learn and grow. The drive to be someone within this industry of ours. Big personality without an ego but with an all in attitude.

We are:
A blend of strategic, creative and technological innovation, creating mesmerising sites and campaigns. Working in an off and online environment.

A company run by two extremely experienced and award winning Creative Directors. A company that breathes talent and I mean talent. Tyre kickers need not apply.

IKEA’s bedroom secrets

In The Netherlands, IKEA is setting a great example of useful consumer generated content with the ‘Design Your Own Life’ campaign. A few months ago, they’ve launched Open Kitchen,

a user generated showroom of kitchens with IKEA products. With over 2000 entries, it instantly became the biggest kitchen showroom in Holland. Right now they’ve launched the follow up Bedroom Secrets, in which you can have a look inside Dutch bedrooms. Literally, because besides the user uploaded bedrooms, a webcam stream makes it possible to watch the bedrooms of Lonne, Sven and Manette, live.

We Love is nominated for Creative Agency Awards

Fine news today… We Love 72 were contacted by the Creative Agency Awards for inclusion into the 2009 publication of the top 99 global creative agencies (both offline and online), for works to date including We Own Colour, We Love Xmas 2008, and Digital Gurus.

The book to be published this year will be on general sale through all good book shops. This is not a plug, but a quantitative comment. The book being for sale allows the Creative Agency Awards to select agencies on creative merit rather than have agencies but their way in. A rather refreshing quality in a world of agency owned award ceromonies…

Will let you know more as it happens…

Cannes Lions is underway

Well, good luck to those who have entered this years Cyber Lions!! Yes its that time of year. The short lists have been announced. Check them out here >> We Love will be there in the future so don’t worry… we will entertain…

However if you can’t make it to the event (and lets not forget, its not just about the awards… its about meeting great people and attending some great seminars…) then you can catch up or watch some of the meets online on the Cannes Lions site>>

An Overwhelming Response…

After its Open day launch in May 2009 the Grand Ocean housing development has successfully sold all of it’s Phase 1 apartments and is now entering into the second part of it’s marketing push.

With over 20 apartments sold already, the response to this new development has been overwhelming. These positive figures highlight the obvious benefits of an engaging and highly targeted X-channel campaign.

Elements of the campaign include a concept driven website, social media mash-up, contextual outdoor advertising, and an array of local media activities and offline collateral – all of them strategically combined to create an overall story which prospective buyers can relate to and buy into…

So congratulations for Phase 1 and here’s to Phase 2…

Digital Gurus gets Recognition from the Dope Awards

Its great new to receive recognition for our work and even better when the recognition comes from the people who live and breath the digital environment, those who award without bias and without the need to impress the paymasters… So when we were informed of the news that the Dope Awards have given us a recognition award for the website Digital Gurus we were beyond stoked!

Well done We Love, Well Done Digital Gurus for being great clients, well done the team that made it happen and of course cheers to Dope Awards for seeing the DG site for the little bit of magic that it is…
