Snr Developer:

Developer superstar geek wanted with a few years agency experience under their belt. Has seen dotCOM or Campaigns from start to finish and loves the challenge. Can AS3 the ass off Kylie, HTML like a loon and AJAX it with the best of them. ASP.NET is a bonus and PHP, Python are bonuses. A love of code… A talent who understand the importance of pixel perfectness in a build, Who can suggest, direct and manage a build, making it his own. Someone who is proud of creating beautiful code. Manage a team if need be or work solo. Someone who can communicate up and down the line.

Snr Digital Designer with agency experience with a good spread of work (dotCOM and Campaigns). Someone who can understand a brief, with good business acumen, concept and generate ideas which push the boundaries. And can own a project right start to finish and manage a team. Be accountable and responsible for the growth and expertise of themselves, the agency and others.

A big hello to Niki who joined us this week as Snr project manager… now all our asses will be kicked.

Niki comes with 6 years project management background. Working both client and agency side. So she has a good understanding of the pressures and politics that both environments.

And she wears funny slippers around the office!!

Hi all, Long time no speak.

It has been super busy here at We Love… what with the Sony Ericsson 3GSM site going live and a few others to launch oh so very soon… (not forgetting to catch up on the PR of other work that has already launched / been delivered… but that is for another time…)

What this little digital gossip / heads up is all about is that we are now on the hunt for some new talent to join us at the manor… specifically a digital Snr Designer and a Snr Developer with the skillz to blow us away.

You must have agency experience and a few years under your belt, and know how it all works… You must illustrate creativity (no matter how ‘dull’ the project was)… Have sweet business acumen and most excellent people and management skills. Worked for some sweet brands, be at award winning level – top of your game – and have the energy and get up and go to really drive We Love forward.

The We Love team is growing further with the hire of Joe Noordally as a Developer. An all round tech-head with specific interest in mobile technologies and AS3, Joe has come in and really hit the ground running on Vichy and Sony Ericsson work.

He looks a bit better later in the day when the morning hair has calmed down ; – )

The We Love team continues to grow with our latest hire! Nathan has joined the design team and got off to a great start working on some pretty cool projects, fitting in right from the start.

Nathan is Kent born and bred, and we are glad he has decided to keep his talent local by joining the We Love family.

To start off the new year we’ve got a new face in the office. Jonathan has joined us a Front End Developer. A master craftsman, Jonathan honed his skills in deepest Kent. We’ve brought him into the manor now (he’s moved up in the world) and we’ll be working on lots of exciting projects in the coming months.

Provide sanity in an insane world, make people smile and give a damn about your co-workers and the creative output that make up We Love. You are the glue. We are on the hunt for Front End Developers again!

We Love is a fresh take on what a creative design agency can be. Small but focused, driven and creative we design and produce unique digital solutions for a diverse range of international clients. We feel that the people that work for We Love are its most important assets. In fact, they are the DNA of the company.

Skill sets and Personality: You should ooze talent, have vision and can code the ass off Kylie. You know your way round flash and can animate better than the Warner Brothers, ActionScript better than Cyborg, as well as being willing to prove yourself in a fast growing, fast paced industry.

We won’t tie you down to PureMVC or any other framework – good OO design principles and high code standards are all that’s required. AS3, PHP/Python and a good knowledge of HTML/CSS a must – anything else will be a bonus and knowledge of the Gaia flash framework is favorable.

You use BZR/SVN/GIT regularly and have experience with issue tracking apps like Trac. You are someone who is mature enough to understand a brief, and can take direction as well as contribute and show initiative.

You must have a couple of years experience behind you and be Mac happy and PC proud.

A few months back you may remember reading on our blog that Mark, our CD, had been invited to the Design Off in .NET magazine. Well now you can witness his works, thoughts and direction in response to the fictitious brief of a redesign of a theatre site in November’s issue. We believe it to be the best of the bunch… but why don’t you judge for yourself and see if Mark has still got his mojo…

And if you rush out and buy a .Net November issue you can also see his piccy… which he most adamantly claims has had no retouching what so ever… well, we will leave you to make up your own mind on that one…

The Brief:
Mock up the homepage of a theatre site. Visitors should get excited about attending a production and have no trouble finding out what’s on and how to buy tickets. The page should also reflect the atmosphere and personality of the theatre. Consider including social networking features and video.
