Henry’s Headway Challenge

On the 12th July 2010, a charity karting event will be taking place at Buckmore Park and is being organised by Mr John Surtees OBE for the Headway Trust Charity (Tunbridge Wells) in memory of his son Henry who was tragically killed in a motor racing accident in 2009 at the tender age of 18.

Vanquish Developments, friends of We Love…, will be taking part with two teams and we are hoping it will be a fun packed day for all involved.

We would therefore be extremely grateful if you would be willing to make a donation by donating online at www.vanquishdevelopments.com (follow the link on the homepage).

It is hoped that the day will be supported by Formula One stars, both from the past and present, as well as other celebrities. So go along and support…

Many thanks Mark

Spread the love… make James eat pie.

So it’s that time of the year again! We thought rather than just create another pointless Christmas campaign, we would give something back to those who need it most… while trying our damnedest to make James ill.

What’s this all about?
Its simple. Get James to eat 500 mince pies in just 12 days and we will donate £500 to the Make a Wish Foundation.

Why James you ask?
Well, everyone else in the office loves mince pies, so we thought it would be best to put somebody who really HATES mince pies in the hot seat!

Support the cause, feed James a pie, and make a donation via the site, and together we can make James dread Christmas forever more.

How do you get involved?
To feed James pie, simply visit the site and sign up to the cause… I promise it will take just a few minutes of your time… and you get to see the video of him eating YOUR pie.

Lets be honest… our donation is a given… but if you want to be more involved then we have also supplied a link to our page on JustGiving.com where you can happily give what pennies you can afford to spare.

Made the finish line….

Sorry this post is a little late… Just a thank you and I told you so to a few people who thought I would collapse after the 1km mark! :-P

I want to thank friends, family and colleagues at We Love in supporting me run the 5km race at Hyde Park for the charity Cancer Research. I alone raised a whopping £285. Thanks also to my cousins who ran with me and dragged me along the way! … :-)

A massive well done to the other 16,000 people who ran the race at Hyde Park that day! Looking forward to next year!

Race for life – here I come…

FInally I have signed up to join the Race for Life event and contribute to Cancer Research. Having lost both my father and recently an uncle to cancer, I was determined to do something to help the cause.

The event is taking place at Hyde Park on the 19th of July. I have two weeks and a bit to shape up! This is going to be hard considering I even get out of breath when I walk from the station to the office -(15min walk!) haha this will be fun!

I know times are hard with the credit crunch and all but I’m sure you might have a few pennies to spare.

I have set a target of £100 – every pound you donate really does make a difference - so please sponsor me.

Donations are welcome here….

Thanks, Mel.x

We Love… charity

This week We Love helped support Great Ormond Street Hospital, by donating Dripping In Fat t-shirts to a fashion show organised by students of Greenwich University. The designs were modelled by breakdancers who entertained the crowd during the show, before handing out t-shirts to lucky members of the audience!

The event successfully raised some much needed funds for such a great cause and helped spread the Dripping In Fat message of making the world a better dressed place!
