With a background in print, coming from the same uni and course as myself, he made the transition into a more digital orientated role through his interest in User Interaction and UX Design.

Things have been a bit quiet when it comes to blogs coming from the “Manor” lately, however “quiet” is far from the way the office could be described at the moment!

We are busy with our heads down working on some really exciting new projects, getting out there and winning some more big clients and all the while trying to welcome and make our new staff members feel at home.

I thought this might be a good opportunity to take a step back and have a look back at some of the “goings-on” over the past month or so in the We Love world…

We have had a couple of members join the team already (JD and Niki), and have been busy interviewing for the other roles we have available at the moment so there has been lots of new faces popping in and out.

A few of us also made the trip over to Sweden, via Copenhagen, a couple of weeks ago to have a kick-off meeting for an extremely exciting new project we are undertaking. After the business was taken care of we had a bit of time to explore the streets of Copenhagen… as always we all acted in a perfectly mature and sensible nature.

Speaking of mature and sensible, Gav and I took a long weekend off last month and headed to Austria for some snowboarding. It was a good plan… in theory. Unfortunately we both ended up in the hospital on the first day. I dislocated my shoulder and had to be helicoptered off the mountain while Gav, in a totally unrelated incident, managed to distort his medial knee ligaments resulting in him on crutches. Needless to say, returning to work on the Tuesday (in the middle of an extremely busy period) was interesting!

As well as the projects we are currently in the middle of, we are about to start working on some work for new clients so it’s a pretty exciting time to be involved with We Love.

We are still on the hunt for a Senior Designer, Senior Developer and an IA/UX guru so if you know of anyone who fits the bill please get in touch with us!

The time has come to welcome another new “We Loverian”.


Angela has recently joined We Love, and is set to be a very valuable asset to the design team with her natural talent, combined with 8 years experience in the industry!


Angela’s arrival has also meant I am no longer the only Aussie in the office and as such I now have someone else to share the pain of the “anti-Australian” remarks from the rest of the team with! However the age old battle of Melbourne vs. Sydney has once again been re-ignited!


It’s all in good fun, and on behalf of everyone I would like to officially welcome Angela to We Love!


Oh, and as a side note… I actually think Angela has been given a worse blog name than the one I was given, so keep an eye out for it!

Nathan has joined the design team and got off to a great start working on some pretty cool projects, fitting in right from the start.

Nathan is Kent born and bred, and we are glad he has decided to keep his talent local by joining the We Love family.

I’m sure there’s a few of you out there who can relate directly to this blog! On Saturday morning I thought it was a good idea to get up at 7am and run around some woods for the day shooting at randoms and hunting down natural born victims. Yes, paint-balling ROCKS!

I was went along to ‘Go Ballistic’ (based just outside Canterbury) for a friends birthday with 25 other slightly maladjusted people. A great way to keep fit I told myself as I ran for my sorry ass trying to dodge rock hard paintballs. Putting faces behind the masks of the unknowns to vent my weekly frustrations (funny how they all took on the persona of James).

Now… ‘Go Ballistic’ have a great rule that head shots don’t count as a kill, so I took it upon myself to always aim for the head, just to watch my enemy (James) try and wipe away the paint from their mask whilst under constant fire!! God it cost me a fortune in ‘reloads’.

Had a great day of sadistic fun… (Happy Birthday Craig!) I would recommend it to anyone… Better than a stress ball :)

And yes, for those who haven’t been before, IT DOES HURT!
