As ever, it’s always good to receive recognition for the effort of so many (client and agency side). So it thrills me to say that the site We Love designed and developed for Sony Ericsson’s Mobile World Congress last month has been received so well by our peers within the industry. Peaking at number 4 in the Design Charts, Site of the Day on Design Licks, Being reviewed in Creative Review as well as being listed in many other ‘hot pick’ sites…

Working with On Demand Group and Du we have created a multi-lingual flash site which outlines the service offered through an engaging interface illustrating the true virtues of VoD.
We Love developed a front end which integrates into On Demand Group’s powerful content management service to deliver and promote an ever changing content portfolio.
It has been super busy here at We Love… what with the Sony Ericsson 3GSM site going live and a few others to launch oh so very soon… (not forgetting to catch up on the PR of other work that has already launched / been delivered… but that is for another time…)

At the end of last year we kicked off our new relationship with West Kent College by designing and printing their strategy document for 2010. The end result is a clean, flowing document with some great design touches. We’re already looking forward to the next project, so keep your eyes peeled because there will be plenty more to come…
Below is a sneaky peak from the strategy document… we obviously can’t give it all away…
Its Xmas time. The time we spend trying to fix our relationships and drink beeeeeeer after a year of working so hard. To do this we need time off so from 1pm on the 24th December to 9am 4th January the office will be closed so we can recoup and be ready for an energised 2010. Have a good one all.

Who are you? Well Agency experience is a must. You have dealt with large and small clients alike and understand the variables in each. You keep your head at all times, can manage a client and staff, keep projects on track and on budget. Run multiple projects at a time. Help create and define scopes and budgets. Reporting both ways with authority. You can PM agile or waterfall depending on need. Provide sanity in an insane world, make people smile and give a damn about your co-workers and the creative output that make up We Love. You are the glue. A lot to ask we know… but we find our own high expectations make for a happy creative life for all
As always… Excellent package for the right person.
A few months back you may remember reading on our blog that Mark, our CD, had been invited to the Design Off in .NET magazine. Well now you can witness his works, thoughts and direction in response to the fictitious brief of a redesign of a theatre site in November’s issue. We believe it to be the best of the bunch… but why don’t you judge for yourself and see if Mark has still got his mojo…
And if you rush out and buy a .Net November issue you can also see his piccy… which he most adamantly claims has had no retouching what so ever… well, we will leave you to make up your own mind on that one…
The Brief:
Mock up the homepage of a theatre site. Visitors should get excited about attending a production and have no trouble finding out what’s on and how to buy tickets. The page should also reflect the atmosphere and personality of the theatre. Consider including social networking features and video.
We in England (and perhaps some of the old Colonial counties) are extremely lucky to celebrate a man who in 1605 tried to blow up the House of Parliament in London. I am not 100% sure of why we celebrate this fact, my secondary school learnings were such a long time ago… hold on I will just google it… Oh. It turns out we celebrate the fact that he was caught… oh well… brilliant, or not so brilliant if you were in Guys’ gang.
I went along to the Museum of Kent this year with the family to see the fireworks and have a generally great night out. And I wasn’t disappointed, nor was my partner, Jen, or my 2 year son. It was a great night of eating junk food, fairground rides, crazy gyms, a (what can only be described as) HUGE AND BLOODY HOT fire, fire jugglers and a firework display to round off the night that put Sydney’s Millenium celebrations to shame.
Press on Digital Imaging (PODI) are one of the UK’s leading large format digital printers. They specialise in the production of high quality posters, banners and canvas for both indoor and outdoor use. We Love were commissioned to give their existing website a new lease of life, making their work the focus, and building on the site’s existing Google rankings to help make them the industry leaders in their field.
The outcome is a site that sits head and shoulders above it’s peers – an interactive media space, allowing viewers to scroll through the different project images or select them by category. Combined with a few slick build features, this site is another one to be proud of, so a BIG thanks to the whole team and thanks to the guys at PODI.
